Vacation & Concert & Basketball

Hey fellas,
I know it's been quite a time again. As usual I didn't have the time to post anything or let's say there weren't that much topics I could write about. However I can tell you something about last week.

Sunset at the north seaFor the first time within the last 5 years or something like that, I've been on vacation. My girlfriend and me drove to the north sea for 5 days: Sunday to Friday. It was pretty cold as you can guess from the end of October. At least it wasn't raining. The sun came out every day, however it hadn't the power to make it pretty warm. Result was that both of us caught a cold, so that one day we had to stay in our apartment to get a bit healthier. In the end it was a good time and I'm glad that I've gotten away from everyday's hustle at my job.

Status Quo in concertThe next day another great thing was going to happen: Me and my uncle went to a Status Quo-concert in Bielefeld of their Quid Pro Quo-Tour. The last time I've been on a Quo-concert was in 2007 I think. My first time was 2006. I just love that old school rock'n'roll music ;-)

The last thing to happen in the past week was to visit the basketball-match Phoenix Hagen vs. Brose Baskets Bamberg on sunday. Unfortunately Hagen lost, however it was a good end for the week.

Also great: Today is an official holiday in Germany, so I can stay at home and only have to work 4 days this week. Next week will also be great, since my girlfriend's and mine relationship gets one year old. Also Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released. Man I feel like a little child waiting for Xmas <:o)

Keep your heads up,
Alex

Steve Jobs is dead

Howdy fellas,

I guesss everyone of you is aware of the death of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs was one of the founders of the big Apple-concern and CEO until about one month ago. He made Apple a very beloved and successful company and brand. On wednesday he died at the age of 56 due to cancer, which he carried along for a long time. The american homepage of Apple welcomes the visitor with a big portrait picture of Steve, telling us the years of his birth and his death.

I gotta admit, that I've never been a fan of Apple's products and probably never will be, however I think we all gotta accept that Steve Jobs put his heart into the things he did. Computer science advances every day and he certainly was somehow involved in this proccess. Therefore I have to salute you, Steve.

Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs!
